Beach Permits for Vehicles

Barnegat Light: No vehicles permitted

Harvey Cedars: For information call the Police Station at 494-3036. The permit fee is approximately $25.00. Street entrances  are usually at 83rd, Middlesex, Bergen, and Essex.

Surf City: For information call the Police Station at 494-1400. The permit fee is approximately $25.00. Street entrances are usually at 5th St. and 18th St.

Ship Bottom: For information call the Police Station at 494-1518. The permit fee is approximately $5.00. The street entrances will be given out when the permit is issued.

Long Beach Twp: Long Beach Twp. includes High Bar Harbor, Loveladies, North Beach, Brant Beach, Beach Haven Crest, Brighton Beach, Peahala Park, Beach Haven Park, Haven Beach, The Dunes, Beach Haven Terrace, Beach Haven Gardens, Spray Beach, North Beach Haven, South Beach Haven, Holgate, and Beach Haven Inlet.

For information, call 361-1000, ext. 203. The permit fee is approximately $50.00. Permits are issued 24 hours day, seven days a week, however, cash and out-of-town checks are not accepted after 4 PM or on weekends or holidays. A special six week permit for the Long Beach Island Surf Fishing Tournament is $25.00. This annual fishing contest is in the fall from October to mid-November. Usual street entrances: Coast Road in Loveladies; 31st, 42nd, and 66th Sts. in Brant Beach; 79th and 106th Sts. in Beach Haven Crest; 15th and 34th Sts. in Spray Beach; Nelson, Scott, and Washington Aves. in Holgate.

Beach Haven: For information call the Police Station at 492-0505. The permit fee is approximately $10.00. Street entrances are usually Taylor, Holyoke, and Nelson Aves., and Centre St.
